Command-Clash Checker
Check whether a name sounds too close to a training command or everyday house word.
Common questions
What counts as a "clash"?
A clash is when the name sounds phonetically close to a common training command or everyday word your pet will hear a lot â like "Kit" vs "sit", or "Bo" vs "no". It doesn't have to be an exact match, just a close sound-alike that could get confusing mid-training.
Does a clash mean I shouldn't use the name?
Not at all â it's just a heads-up. Plenty of people use the name anyway and pick a different word for that one command, or don't do much formal training in the first place. Use the result as something to keep in mind, not a rule.
Does my pet's species matter?
Not really â species is optional context at most. The clash check is about ordinary English words the name might get confused with, not anything species-specific, so it works the same for a dog, cat, or any other pet.
